BBQ

A few weeks ago, there was a BBQ fest in Madison Square Park, near our apartment.  It was super crowded, of course.  But everything we tried was really yummy.  Each vendor had a tent/trailer, and there were about 8 or 10 different ones there.

It was really neat that Ubon's Barbeque was there - this is a restaurant in Kentucky, and Chris had just heard a story about them on the radio that week!

We split a couple of different dishes.  Most places had either pulled pork or ribs, with a side.  These were spicy sausages with some sort of cheese slaw.  Yum!

There was a beer area that we actually didn't go into.  Crazy!  But it looked like fun.

The event was very fun - it would have been more fun without Lilly.  It was so crowded that we couldn't really walk around with her so we took turns sitting on a bench with her while the other walked around.  I think she had a pretty good time since we spent some time in the doggie park first, but next time we'll remember to leave her at home!
