Andy and Hans Visit (part 1)

I have so many pics from this visit that I have to split the posts into several parts! On the first day the guys were here, we got to do a little exploring. First, we went over to the High Line park in Chelsea. This is an old rail line which is raised above the ground. It hasn't been used for several years - it was run down and overgrown with weeds. There have been many plans for things to do with it over the years, including tearing it all down. Due to a big push from the neighborhood, it has been made into a park, which is very cool (in my opinion). This was the first time I got to see it, and it was really fun to just walk up and down and explore.

You can actually sit and look at the traffic through a glass pane as if it is a show.

There are chairs on the rail. They actually slide up and down so you can move them to sit by your friends. Awesome!

Later that night, Chris had to work, and I got to show off one of our favorite places, Brooklyn Brewery.

Where you buy beer with chips.

We definitely missed Chris, and even saved him a seat (in case he surprised us!)

We then met Chris at a bar we really like, Duke's! They had a special on firefly tea, and we had to have a couple.

It was a great time. Then when we got home, Hans demonstrated how small our washer/dryer is.

And our kitchen. (It makes him feel like a giant.)

Fun was had by all. Stay tuned for part 2!
