We last left off when we had been riding our bikes around the island all day. We were ready for some dinner! We had burgers at Rare, which is one of our current favorite burger joints in Greenwich Village. Then we walked over to Zinc, where we enjoyed some live jazz! It was a really cool group. They were Brazilian and the singer was a woman, the rest were men. We stayed for two sets and had a blast. We were definitely still singing their tunes the next day! (Na na na na na BA NA NA!)
Chris took most of those shots. Glad photography is something we can both enjoy!!
On our way home, we walked by Great Jones, which is one of Chris and my favorite restaurants! We weren't hungry but definitely wanted to stop in and show off the place to the guys.
Hans recognized the place from our engagement pics
and wanted to reenact the shots!
I should have insisted on getting the kiss shot.
We went home, and sampled some of our homebrew, which we are very proud of! Happy to say that Hans and Andy loved them all.
We then discovered a new function of our coffee table - not just a coffee table and storage trunk, it is now also a dance floor!
I love this next picture - cool shot, Andy!
Lilly didn't know what to make of us.
I managed to capture these guys horsing around. They are usually very serious as you can tell.
Thanks, guys, for an incredibly fun night!!

Andy and Hans Visit (part 2)
On Saturday, we slept in! We stayed up late the night before - these guys made it much later than I did!
Then we headed out to enjoy a beautiful day. Our first stop was to rent bikes! Andy and Hans rented bikes so we could cruise around Central Park. Then we were all pretty hungry, so we grabbed lunch at a restaurant that is sort of tricky to get to - you really have to know where you're going. We love to go there for the Korean Fried Chicken.
We made a pretty decent dent in all those wings.
I think Andy and Hans liked the meal! And I was enjoying the great light coming in through the window.
Then, it was off to the park. There was a sculpture right at the corner entering the park, some sort of installation piece? But cars kept parking in front of it, making it hard for me to get a good shot!
We really enjoyed our leisurely ride around the outside of the park.
It was a beautiful day, and many people took advantage of it at the pool! I was wishing I had brought a suit.
After riding up the East side of the park, we rode over to the Boat Basin, a fun place to grab a snack or a drink on the Hudson River. (West side of the island.)
We rode on home. We didn't spend much time recharging before heading out for dinner and live music! More about that next time!
